By downloading, accessing, or using the MyKabbi application or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the MyKabbi service. These terms apply to passengers and to drivers using the MyKabbi platform.
MyKabbi is a technology platform that connects passengers with independent, licensed private hire drivers in Northern Ireland. MyKabbi does not provide transportation services directly — it facilitates booking between passengers and self-employed driver partners.
All drivers operating on the MyKabbi platform hold valid Northern Ireland private hire licences issued by the relevant licensing authority and are legally permitted to carry passengers for hire.
To use MyKabbi as a passenger, you must:
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
When you request a ride through MyKabbi, you will be shown a fare estimate before confirming. By confirming a booking, you enter into an agreement to pay the stated fare for the completed journey.
MyKabbi does not apply surge pricing. The fare quoted at booking is the fare you pay, subject to any changes caused by significant route deviation requested by the passenger during the journey.
Cancellation fees may apply if you cancel a booking after a driver has been assigned and is en route. Current cancellation fee rates are displayed in the app.
In-app payments are processed securely via Stripe. By adding a payment method, you authorise MyKabbi to charge the stated fare on completion of your journey. Cash payments are accepted at the driver's discretion.
Receipts are sent to your registered email address after each completed trip.
Passengers must not:
Passengers who damage a vehicle may be charged a cleaning or repair fee. MyKabbi operates a zero-tolerance policy on abusive behaviour and may permanently suspend accounts.
MyKabbi provides in-app safety features including real-time journey tracking, journey sharing, and an SOS alert button. These features are provided as aids and do not substitute for calling 999 in an emergency. MyKabbi cannot guarantee emergency response times and is not liable for outcomes in emergency situations beyond what is reasonably within our control.
Drivers operating on the MyKabbi platform are independent contractors, not employees of MyKabbi. MyKabbi does not direct or control the manner in which drivers carry out journeys, beyond requiring compliance with licensing requirements, vehicle standards, and MyKabbi's code of conduct.
Driver registration is subject to a separate Driver Agreement. Drivers must maintain valid licences, insurance, and vehicles at all times.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyKabbi's liability for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the total fares paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. MyKabbi is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for personal injury or death caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
All content, branding, design, and software within the MyKabbi app and website are owned by or licensed to MyKabbi. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without our written permission.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of Northern Ireland and England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the MyKabbi service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify users of significant changes via the app or email.
